Ever have this feeling you are going through life building expectations and nobody really cares about your accomplishments or not? Then you come to realize your life, up until this point, isn’t as impactful as you had built it up to be? You come to realize that everything is just a series of moments that burn away like dry leaves in a campfire. I think I mentioned it before but I can’t imagine this being more true than it is today. You cannot survive your moments in life alone without people there to remind you that you exist.
Quantum Theory: If a tree falls in the forest…
“… Chance is inherent in the collapse of the wavefunction, and it was this feature of quantum theory that got Einstein so upset. To make matters worse, if the collapse is instantaneous then this implies what Einstein called a ‘spooky action-at-a-distance’ which, he argued, appeared to violate a key postulate of his own special theory of relativity.” – Jim Baggott
They say the biggest fear most people have is the fear of drowning or the fear of being isolated from people when they are vulnerable. There is truth to this. Imagine if you are stranded on a desert island, alone and void of time. You might not feel it right away but imagine if you stripped away the notion of space and time from a person? Take away someone’s ability to connect with something tangible and relative to his or her personal now. This feeling of isolation, of loss of gravity, of immediate self-purpose is what drives us to define who we are now. This emotional and tangible connection is as real as the imaginative tree falling in the forest. It doesn’t matter if it exists because it exists because it exists already in your mind. Existence is a construct of how you believe it to be so. This definition of immediate self-purpose is how we validate our moments in our lives. Otherwise what is the purpose of living if there is no one there to validate your energy. Sorry if I dove out to the deep end with this. My point is that this is ultimately the yin and yang of everyone’s personal internal conflict. This is everyone’s personal quantum paradigm.
We cannot exist without moments with other people. It’s not silly it is foundational to survival. So when you are feeling down and can’t understand why, then ask yourself this. What did I do today that validated someone else’s moment? Eventually you will discover a moment of inception where you will realize you do exist because your friends saved you when you needed it the most.
