Notes from Reading all the AARs

  1. Train smart to avoid injury.

  2. Optest in same conditions as event

  3. Take time to run a dress rehearsal

  4. Planning for sustained fuel is just as important as the physical

  5. Every detail is important in training.

  6. Don’t get intimidated by how other people execute. Let your training drive you to finish each challenge. Do not follow the crowd if you didn’t train that way.

  7. Marshall your resources. You don’t have to crush every challenge. Just don’t be last.

  8. Be invisible.

  9. How much time do you have for feet care? (train to do this where it becomes muscle memory)

  10. At what point does the tempo change?

  11. Condition your legs and feet for the distance and weight to prevent injury

  12. Trail exactly how you plan to perform giving 110%
