Diary: Adjusting to Calorie Burn
Not to steal my thunder from my video but there were two major take aways I wanted to share. The first is that I adjusted my food intake so that I could burn out longer in the later evening / early morning hours from the fuel I had consumed earlier in the day and the second take away is that I actually got more sleep than I usually would get in a night. If you know me then you know I generally average about 5 hours or less of sleep a night and on a good day I may get 3 hours of deep sleep included in that.
I changed my plan to consume my largest meal first in the day tapering off as the day progressed, which allowed my body to get use to the slow burn.
Sleeping more made a huge difference in how I reacted when i was nearing exhaustion during a workout. This is the beginning of training for this phase but I thought it was notable enough to share since the effects were immediate. More to come when I re-asses how this continues to work for me during the ramp up phase of my training later.
